If you need urgent medical assistance when we are closed telephone 111 for the NHS out-of-hours service. Other than in an emergency please use the above service before attending an Accident and Emergency department at a hospital.

Washwood Heath Urgent Care Centre is a nurse led “walk-in” service that is open from 9am to 8:30pm, Monday to Sunday, every day of the year except Christmas Day. We provide urgent care services for patients with minor illnesses and injuries.

To see an experienced nurse for treatment of minor injuries and illnesses seven days a week, 8.00 am until 7.00pm. You do not need an appointment.

Your local pharmacist will be able to give you free health advice and you don’t need an appointment. Many pharmacies operate extended hours on a rota basis. Call NHS Direct for details.

Out-of-hours services are generally busy so please think carefully before asking to see a doctor and only do so if you genuinely cannot wait until the surgery re-opens.

In a genuine emergency you should call 999. Chest pains and / or shortness of breath constitute an emergency.
