National Self-Care Week 18-24 November

Between the 18th and 24th of November 24 marks the date for National Self-Care Week. We must make sure we are giving ourselves the best care possible, with November being cold & flu session. We all think that we can survive and manage without taking medicine but in reality it could be the worst thing, with our bodies needing that extra help to get through the day.

This year awareness is based around Mind and Body, making us aware that we should be taking care of both our physical and mental health. Here are a few things you can do to make sure you are doing everything for your mind and body:

  • Stock up your medicine cupboard
    • Painkillers (paracetamol, ibuprofen) 
    • Antihistamines for allergies
    • Antiseptic cream for bites and stings
    • Laxative to help with constipation
  • Sunscreen
  • First aid kit
    • Plasters
    • bandages 

Your health is the most important part of you, ensure you’re doing everything you can to look after it.
